Lie 2009: Seventh workshop in Lie Theory and its applications

Aims and scope

The workhop took place in FaMAF (Córdoba City), from November 27th to December 1st, 2009. This was the seventh in a series of Lie theory workshops organized since 1985, which have been met alternatively at ICTP and Córdoba (Argentina). The main aim of this Workshop is to bring together specialists, researchers and students working on various aspects of Lie theory and its applications.

Some areas of interest are:

  • representation theory,
  • noncommutative harmonic analysis,
  • groupoids and algebroids,
  • mathematical physics.

As related event, from November 23th to 25th a series of courses took place in FaMAF (Córdoba City). On November 26th a one day Conference in honor of the 60th birthday of Prof. Jorge Vargas was hold. For more informartion see "Encuentro de Teoría de Lie".
