Prof. Dr. Schneider is professor at the Institute of Mathematics at the University of Munich, Germany. He is a member of the National Science Academy of Córdoba (Academia Nacional de Ciencias de Córdoba) since 2001. He kept through the years close relations with professors of the Faculty of Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics of the University of Córdoba, both in research projects as well as a tutor of graduate students in Argentina and Germany.
The National Science Academy of Córdoba is located in the centre of the city of Córdoba, more precisely at Av. Velez Sarsfield 229.

A one-day conference is organized on the occasion of Prof. Hans-Jürgen Schneider´s 65th birthday and it will take place on September 5th, 2009 in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. This is the closing event of the Colloquium of Hopf Algebras, Quantum Groups and Tensor Categories which is going to be held in La Falda, Córdoba, from August 31st t September 4th, 2009.
The conference will consist of a series of talks which will be given by Prof. Schneider´s collaborators.
