Research ideas 2024

Some directions I want to explore this year:

1. Consensus in dynamic networks
   Most results assume fixed or bounded topology. What can be proved under more adversarial changes?

2. Communication complexity
   Tighter lower bounds for classic problems (Byzantine agreement, broadcast) in different models.

3. Verifiable delay functions
   Practical constructions with good security guarantees and reasonable parameters.
