How to get to Córdoba

By car
Here you will find a map of route access to Córdoba city.

By plane
The airport of Córdoba city is located in the north and pretty far from downtown (12 km in a straight line). The best way to get to the center is by taxi. The cost of a taxi from the airport to downtown is about $55 (Argentinian Pesos) and from downtown to the airport about $40. The trips leaving from Cordoba Airport have an extra cost of $15, see Taxis for more information. You may also use the public transport, the Bus A5 and the differential Bus D4, to get to downtown. The cost of the differential bus is $5 and the payment is made through blanks or tokens (cospeles) or a magnetic card, which can be bought at the aiport on the first floor. Without blanks it is not possible to make the trip because the drivers can not accept money. For this reason, we recommend the visitor to bring small change in argentinian pesos. For more information about the public transport see here.

The following airlines have direct flights to Córdoba (COR) from abroad:

For domestic flights see:

Most of the flights to Argentina land in Buenos Aires; you arrive to the International Airport of Ezeiza (EZE). If this is the case or you decided to visit this wonderful city before the meeting, in order to travel to Córdoba from Buenos Aires you have two possibilities:

By plane
In this case you have to go to the domestic-flights airport Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP). At Ezeiza or in downtown Buenos Aires, you can take a taxi or the shuttle bus Compañia Manuel Tienda León (see the web page for prices and stops). Aeroparque is about 20 minutes from downtown, depending on the traffic. The Tienda Leon´s and taxi´s offices are inside the airport building and you may pay the service in advance in dollars, euros or with credit cards. For safety reasons we recommend you to hire these services. If you are in a hotel in Buenos Aires, you may ask the people from the hotel to call a taxi or just take the public transports. Some of the bus lines going to Aeroparque are 33, 37, 45 and 160. From Aeroparque there are flights to Córdoba each hour.

Note that there are no flights to Córdoba from Ezeiza, unless those operated by Aerolineas Argentinas. Thus if you are flying with another airline you must go to Aeroparque.

By bus
You can take a bus from the Buenos Aires Coach Terminal (Retiro) direct to Córdoba. There are more than 10 companies, some of them offer the service cama-suite, which is really good, even with service on-board such as dinner and breakfast. The travel is about 8 hours to Córdoba city and you can travel by night. The following are some of them: Urquiza, Chevallier, El Práctico (for prices and categories see the links above).

Change, Debit and Credit Cards

Credit and debit cards are very usual in Argentina and you might be able to take Argentinian pesos out of an ATM. Also, it is better to bring euros or US dollars rather than to buy pesos abroad.
We recommend you to have ARGENTINIAN PESOS to get around the city. You may change your money at Banco Nación, there is an office at Ezeiza Airport and an ATM at Córdoba Airport, or in any bank in downtown. Bank schedules are from 8 am to 1 pm.

Note that it is rather difficult to exchange foreign currency other than dollar or euro.
